program
is inviting qualified candidates to apply to HKUST Shenzhen
MBA Program. We receive applications with the below
deadlines.
1st Round: Dec 15, 2010
2nd Round: Mar 15, 2011
At HKUST, we make
sure that our MBA graduates develop a solid credential and
obtain a better value of management education and training.
We develop and administer a relevant curriculum, combining
theory with practice. Our faculty members are well-equipped
with knowledge generated not only through their own
prestigious education but also through their rich research
and consulting experiences.
In order to provide an opportunity for our candidates to
better understand the program, the lectures as well as the
faculty, some open classes will arrange in Jan 2011 in
Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan. We have the great pleasure
to invite Prof. Stephen W. Nason and Prof. Milind Rao to
conduct the open classes. The session will feature a
demonstration of some pedagogical approaches adopted by
faculty of the HKUST MBA Program and to provide the
attendees a feel of a typical MBA class at HKUST.

"The single most
important factor that determines your success in business is not
the knowledge you have memorized but rather the quality of the
decisions you make. Despite the importance of critical decision
making, most people do not have clear understanding of how they
actually make decisions. We think we are rational, yet
non-rational processes and biases have much more influence
on our decisions than we realize. In this talk we will explore the
impact of some of these biases on our decision making so that
through recognizing the biases and compensating for them we can
make improve our decision making and critical thinking
abilities." |

"In the past two
decades there has arisen a powerful and symbiotic relationship
between the US, China and Japan involving
tremendous flows of capital and goods. It has been virtually
unprecedented in terms of size and scope
influencing among other things the trade balance, the exchange rate,
the cost of capital and housing in the United States and China,
and the impact of monetary policy. In this lecture, we will
systematically develop the framework for the US - CHINA -JAPAN
nexus and explore its effects on exchange rates, the markets of
money, bond and labor, and foreign direct investment." |
